Access Options For Temporary Buildings

If you are considering installing a temporary building, there are a wide range of options available to you for pedestrian and vehicle access. You are literally spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the most suitable means of access for a temporary building.

You see, because of the variety of uses, there are a number of access options available, to help you get the most out of your building, to help you improve your operations and keep things moving along efficiently.

For instance, by far and away the most popular method is the roller shutter door option, which can be supplied in either manual or three-phase electric format. You can have a roller shutter door fitted to either the sides of the building, or to the gable end of the building.

And depending upon the access width you need to access your building, you can have the door up to a maximum of 7 metres in width, with a maximum height of 6 metres high.

But if you don’t need the security of a roller door, a cost-effective option is the PVC fork lift truck curtain, which is ideal if your site is secure, and the integrity of goods is not critical.

Another useful application is the undercover loading bay, for which you can find an open-ended building to enable even the tallest lorries to drive underneath for loading and unloading, to enable your staff to work in the dry, whatever the weather.

Another option, which is great for moving large machinery or other goods in and out, because it offers the widest opening that can be provided (up to 15mtrs wide), by using sliding steel doors.

And finally, if you don’t need access for fork lifts or vehicles, you can opt for either single width opening or double opening lockable doors, in either steel, or glazed which for example, has been used for both an airport arrivals terminal and car showroom.

One of the major advantages of a temporary building is its flexibility in design which is demonstrated by the range of access options available.
