Art and architecture collide in Portugal. Because this country was a cradle for the many influences of different civilizations, the Portuguese culture is considered as rich and colorful. The art of making Portuguese tiles has been a product of years of combining the country’s own style with the influences of foreign colonizers. It can be seen that their position under the different conquerors has indeed caused them a piece of their culture which has helped them garner international prestige.
